Are you new to stock market

Certainly! The stock market is a place where shares of publicly traded companies are bought and sold. It’s like a marketplace where investors can buy a piece of ownership in a company, and in return, they become shareholders.

Here’s a brief explanation of how the stock market works:

Publicly Traded Companies
Many big and successful companies decide to become "public" by listing their shares on the stock exchange.
Shares or Stocks
Shares are also known as stocks. When you buy a share of a company, you are essentially buying a small piece of that company.
Stock Exchanges
Stock exchanges are platforms where buying and selling of shares take place. In India, two major stock exchanges are (BSE) and (NSE).
Investors and Traders
There are two main types of participants in the stock market: investors and traders. Investors buy shares of companies with the intention of holding them for the long term.
Stock Prices
The price of a stock is determined by the supply and demand in the market. If more people want to buy a particular stock (demand is high), its price will go up.
Risks and Rewards
Investing in the stock market comes with risks and rewards. If the company you invest in does well, the value of its shares may increase.
Diversification
It's essential not to put all your money into one company's stock. Diversification means spreading your investments across different companies and industries.
Stock Market Index
A stock market index is a measurement of the value of a specific section of the stock market. In India, the most well-known index is the S&P BSE Sensex.
Regulation
The stock market is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), which ensures fair practices, transparency, and investor protection.

Lots of youngsters want to learn investing and to make killing in the stock market.Β

But real education about investing is still missing. Even after completing the graduation, they don’t know how to invest and what are the benefits of investments in stocks at early age. Investing in stocks was always treated as gambling, it was never seen as an art of fighting with high inflation. Infact, investing was not taught, trading in stocks was taught by some vested interests. A lot of wealth could have been created if investing was taught at early stage, the stage of higher secondary school itself. More

Stock market has never been a gamble. Legendry investor Warren Buffett created his fortune of $97 billion (Rs.7.76 lakhs cr.) by just investing from the age of 11. He invested in many companies more than 50 years ago and he is still holding the shares in some companies like Coca cola. Great Indian investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala made his fortune by holding Titan and many other companies for long-term. He started with Rs. 5000 only and created a wealth of around Rs.50000 cr. in 36 years. Compounding is the key.

It is just a way of thinking. Investing is way of wealth creation or a gambling?
